The new male mentor program at the LCSD Career Center, the Ambush Club, held its first event Sep 26. The topic of the day was goal setting. A shout out goes to Promise Neighborhood for collaborating for this event and interacting with the mentees to ensure their short and long term goals were specific, measurable, achievable, relevant, and time-bound. The Ambush Club stands for: Academics, Manhood, Brotherhood, Unity, Service, Respect, and Honor. This club is all about helping young men that are willing to accept mentorship and implement a plan for successful next steps before high school graduation. If you are interested and are a current student at the Career Center, sign up using the QR code or see the Club advisor Mr. Heyward in room 436. Enjoy your week and be safe!
